well this can be seen i a few different ways.. first russell thought he was the fds or even called him self the christ along with borbour, miller storrs etc, along with jesus. but i think after nothing happened by 1900 russell , didn't truely believe he had anything special ie the holy sprit.. but he did have a great publishing co. and ppl revered him. so he kept it up. . it's nice to live the easy life, and once you got it , it's hard to walk away even if you have to lie to mantain it. rutherfford was totally full of it, and just wanted all jw's to bow to him. the gb members today are quite aware that jesus never choose the wt in 1919 and all the false prophecies , have nothing to do with god. . they are no different than hitler or stalin. theyare dictators tickling the minds of their followers with propaganda . and sitting back watching the money roll in , being idols of their flock ie fds and laughing all the way to the next convention. with their crowns of arogance and their swords of death to any that expose them. trust me these men know well they hold no sway with god. but they do have their own kingdom right here and now. with some 6 million worshippers ready to pray to them 5 times a week and sell their wares. hwo they even have the nerve to say when jesus does return that they will rule with him ie 144000 . i think you get the picture..............john

Is it me or are the Watchtower Publications disappearing ??????
by run dont walk ini was at the hospital the other day in the waiting room for about 2 hours with a friend, and i noticed only one awake magazine from 2000 in the pile of reading material.. i always thought that the watchtower was trying to "preach the good news to all the inhabited earth before the end comes".
well , they don't like the internet, which is the # 1 way to inform people, you cannot get a subscription anymore unless someone at the hall does it for you or you are still attending, probaly why i didn't see any at the hospital, or lawyers office, or doctor's office etc etc etc.. it seems to me that they are trying to limit what info gets out to the outside world, is this not contradicting all they have preached the last 50 years.. no subscriptions for anyone who might want one ?????????.
no new books, for anyone who is not a jw.. what do you think ????????.

well back in 1991 it cost the wt lot stock and barrell .03 cent to print one wt at the price of a $.25 cents thats a 800% profit . so i would guess now it cost them$.05 cents now . so it must have to do with the mail laws about selling product through the mail that don't live up to the claim...........john

I just realized I could have died
by Jayson intwo days ago i decided to go out on my motorcycle into the backwoods (kind of a desert) behind the city i live in.
it's a combination of drylands that grow wheat and vast natural sagebrush.
i was about 10 miles off road when a 200 or 300 acer brush fire broke out below where i was.

jay i'm gald you got out safely . i thought you were going to say you wrecked on the bike ... be careful one time one of the cars i was towing the tire locked up and went on fire . i said ok no problem then the gas line opened and there was falmes every where. i think it was the first time i was ever scared of fire. thank s the fire dept came before my truck went up ... be well , john

He He, I met two dubs today
by johnathanseagull indid my usual jaunt this morning biking down to the train station in ddorf to get my sundaytimes (just need that shot of english !!!
)...taking my normal route home, low and behold, two dubs holding watchtowers in various languages, one was a young lad of say no more than 25, the other 50ish, looked like he could sell me a car lol..........i asked if they could speak english, the lad replied yes, they were greek by the way.........i was straight in with "i left due to the 1995 "generation" definition change" (hey i lied but whats a lil ole white lie in theocratic war eh?
)...........the young lad didnt know about it, although he admitted being in da truff at the time !!!!

32 the point is that the same greek word is used in rev 7 as to were the great crowd is and the 144000 are . they are in the same place. you don't need to be a greek scolar to see that..john

hi john ; seeing that these guys most likely read and write greek . i would have asked what it says in rev 7 about the 144000 and the great crowd are they not in the same place? yes they don't want to here facts about flip flops and many don't know about the u.n. or the generation etc. it's a shame but most jw's are truely in the dark you should have asked them . Why did you leave your seeing eye dog home , b/c you are stumbling all over the place.;.................john

as with any 55 page decision, it will take some time for the legal experts to hash it over and decipher what was said.
but, in a nutshell..... vicki won.

vicki; i'm most happy for you vindiction.. i was worried waiting so long... it seems from what i have seen so far that the judge did her homework. i'm suprised but eSSTACTIC . the wt is so deceptive in court . scully has a great idea with the don't call registery . sf ; it seems that vicki's lawyers did a pretty good job in opening up the eyes of the judge. and that is a momuntial task in it self...we all here need to salute all the ppl behind vicki that made it all happen. i just called my jw dad . and gave him that verse about ... the gov'ts being the minsters of the laws of god...etc .. so the appointed minsters blow away god's mouth piece>>>> he hung up the phone!!!!!!! best news i think i have ever read in this site .. john

Had a Conversation with a Young JW Lady at the Bus Stop

yizman it is always good to try to exchange phone numbers first like you want a study before you drop the bomb ... this way you can call back or you can ask her to call you .. if done right you have a return call wheather she likes it or not. i always leave my number first .. you never know when they may call... good work john

sf good work; we need to get to politicians that will do something like this guy. i will call maybe tomorrow and feel this lady out. things will only change if guys like this get involved .. were are all the bb"s etc. on this the expert apostates. it seems that the lambs got kicked inj new hamphire. that because the jjudge was not getting a real insight into the wt .. the wt is hard to understand to an outsider. and the wt uses this to their defense. they are masters of deception. what is needed is for an ex jw to become a elected congressman or something . then the gov't will learn the deal john
